Centering Prayer Retreat & Workshop

Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart and the Network invite faculty and staff, parents and trustees to an introduction to Centering Prayer Retreat and Workshop. Register here. 

This gathering will provide participants with both practical information and training in Centering Prayer and Contemplation along with ample space and time for silence and prayer.
 
Led by Paul Parker, Director of Goal 1 at Carrollton, Suzanne Cooke, RSCJ, Head of the Conference of Sacred Heart Education, and Bill Hobbs, Director of Program Planning for the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.
 
Space is limited to 50 participants.

Housing Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center is situated on 26 acres on the Palm Beach Intracoastal Waterway. The simple beauty of the architecture, the many gardens, the various shrines, the landscaped Stations of the Cross, the many green lawns and the quarter -mile waterfront afford an ideal contemplative space.

Travel Planning: Registration at the retreat house will begin at 4:00pm on Mon, 3/19/18, which is when the rooms will be ready. Arrivals earlier in the afternoon are welcome to enjoy the beautiful property or the local area.

It is recommended to fly into the airport at West Palm Beach (PBI), which is about a 20 min.drive to the retreat house. Please note that Miami International Airport (MIA) is approx. a 90+ min drive to the retreat house in North Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale (FLL) is 60+ min.

  • Lead Like a Girl Conference

    Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr
    On Saturday, April 6th, seniors Sarah Conway, Daniella Fadjoh, Abigail Loranca, and Grace Magnotta participated in Lead Like a Girl: A Conference for Risk Takers and Changemakers at Stuart Country Day School in Princeton, New Jersey. For the past two years, these students created and shaped Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr’s Courageous Conversations program. They were chosen to present in two portions of the conference, with Daniella and Abigail speaking on a panel for teenage leadership and Sarah and Grace sharing information in an expo hall. The all-day event offered inspirational keynote speakers, as well as meaningful panels and workshops.
