Josephinum is a college-preparatory high school and a proud member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools. In January 2016, Josephinum was authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, and the Class of 2018 was the first cohort to be fully immersed in the IB curriculum. In the years to follow, all Josephinum students will have the opportunity to pursue the prestigious IB Diploma.

Josephinum Academy seeks a dynamic and experienced educational leader to be our Director of Student Services. This position reports directly to the Principal and is a member of the Principal’s Leadership Team. His/her primary task is to promote the success of students through the leadership of the Student Services Department, which provides personal, academic, and college counseling. He/she is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive support program to ensure student success in school, college, and life. His/her duties include serving as professional school/college counselor, as well as managing a department that includes school counselors, a social worker, Title educators, counseling interns, and volunteers.
The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in School Counseling with state certification. S/he has significant educational experience serving a diverse student body, at least 3-5 years of school and college counseling experience with first-generation students, strong interpersonal skills, and management/leadership experience. S/he has a deep understanding of school organizations, possesses strong skills of communication and creativity, and is committed to giving life to the school’s mission. Spanish speaking is preferred.
