The Academy of the Sacred Heart invites applications for a part-time Middle School Theology teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Ideal candidates should have an excellent background in theology and religious education, be a practicing Catholic, certified in Paul VI (or working toward certification) and must have experience as a successful teacher. Employees of the Academy are required to be collaborative members of a highly professional learning community.

  • Demonstrate competency in, or desire to grow in, the charism of the Society of the Sacred Heart
  • Direct and facilitate the Sacristan Society (a co-curricular student club) 
  • Utilize and integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents 
  • Possesses effective classroom management skills
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and growth
