AIA Architect and Founder of Princeton Design Guild Presents at MS Assembly

Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart
On Monday, February 4, Kevin Wilkes, AIA architect and founder of Princeton Design Guild visited campus to present to Middle School students during assembly and spoke to MS art classes. Wilkes spoke to eighth-grade art students about the design process and how to create physical spaces that reflect abstract concepts while harnessing opportunities and addressing challenges from the environment in which the spaces are located. His presentation was timely as students are currently working on landscape design projects.
MS Art Teacher Ryan Lilienthal stated, "I think it's fair to call Kevin a Princeton thought leader. He currently chairs Princeton Future, was a former Princeton Borough Council President, and has lead a number of public design projects framed around community narrative. He lead the effort to create "Writer's Block" and "Quark Park" before the Hulfush North development was built, and he current oversees Dohm Alley, another public installation next to Starbucks."

Thank you to Mr. Lilienthal for bringing such an inspiring speaker to Princeton Academy!
