For the past four years, Sacred Heart Academy has partnered with Project Ensonga from St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne. This program creates sustainable feminine hygiene kits that help girls stay in school and women stay employed. In areas where the kits are in place, school drop-out rates have dropped from around 40% to 8%.
SHA is hosting Project Ensonga on Monday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 10 from 3:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. in the School House Dining Room. Volunteers will sew, cut fabric, measure ribbon, assemble pieces, iron, etc. If you sew, please bring your machine!
