    Academy of the Sacred Heart, The Rosary - New Orleans, LA
    Third and fourth grade students at the Academy of the Sacred Heart performed with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra during a concert held in the Nims Fine Arts Center on the school's campus on February 20 to promote music education and expose children to the wonders of the symphony orchestra. Under the gifted baton of conductor David Torns, the concert was part of the Bob and Jeri Nims Young People's Concerts in which the LPO partners with Carnegie Hall's Link Up program to offer students the opportunity to perform with the LPO.

  • Upper School students travel to New Orleans for service trip

    Sacred Heart Greenwich
    Ceci Duncan '21 was one of nine students who attended the annual Upper School service trip to New Orleans. Over the course of the five-day trip, the students and chaperones volunteered with the St. Bernard's Project. The group stayed at Duchesne House for Volunteers and worked in Baton Rouge each day on a rebuild project. Enjoy Ceci's reflection on the time spent in New Orleans.

  • 8th Grade Helps Combat Hypothermia in Science Class

    Polar vortex! Bomb cyclone! Blizzard! All of these terms signify snowy weather and below freezing temps. Our 8th grade students recently conducted an experiment in science class to help combat one of the major issues during winter storms—providing warmth to the homeless. On a shoestring budget of $5.00, students designed devices that utilized a chemical reaction to provide temporary heating for homeless individuals.

  • AIA Architect and Founder of Princeton Design Guild Presents at MS Assembly

    Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart
    On Monday, February 4, Kevin Wilkes, AIA architect and founder of Princeton Design Guild visited campus to present to Middle School students during assembly and spoke to MS art classes. Wilkes spoke to eighth-grade art students about the design process and how to create physical spaces that reflect abstract concepts while harnessing opportunities and addressing challenges from the environment in which the spaces are located. His presentation was timely as students are currently working on landscape design projects.

    Academy of the Sacred Heart - St. Charles, MO
    On Jan. 29, 10 of our middle school students competed in a GeoBee, sponsored by National Geographic. Thousands of schools participate each year, and the top 100 test scorers become eligible for the State Bee on Mar. 29. 

    Each State winner will then go to Washington D.C. in May for a national competition.

    Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver, co-authors of the Here’s Hank series, which features a very clever second grader with dyslexia, came to Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton to meet with Kindergarten through third grade students. During the visit at Stevens Family Library, the pair shared about their inspiration to write the series, answered questions about the process of writing, and read an excerpt from the newly published 29th book in the series.

Schools of the Sacred Heart share in the educational mission of the Society of the Sacred Heart as articulated in the Goals and Criteria. The structure supporting Sacred Heart education in Canada and the United States includes the Conference of Sacred Heart Education and the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.  Together they provide services and programs to ensure vitality of mission for the member schools sponsored by the Society of the Sacred Heart.
