We invite high-school student leaders and faculty/staff mentors to join us at Woodlands Academy for a two-day dialogue training. This training will equip students with the skills to navigate differences in ways that lead to greater understanding rather than conflict and division. Students will learn new tools to expand their capacity to deeply and actively listen, grow in self-knowledge and self-confidence in the face of difference, and become effective, responsible global citizens who live with critical consciousness, respect, compassion, reciprocity, authenticity, and hope. Along with being trained in these essential skills of civil discourse and dialogue, students will also learn how to facilitate and mediate difficult conversations in their school communities with confidence, courage and grace. The training will conclude with students brainstorming ways they can bring their new skills and tools to their communities along with across the Network.
