The 25 Schools of the Sacred Heart in the United States and Canada find unity in a shared mission articulated in the Goals and Criteria. To ensure the vitality of mission, the structure supporting Sacred Heart education includes the Network of Sacred Heart schools and the Conference of Sacred Heart Education.

  • Sheila Haggas

    Executive Director
    Network of Sacred Heart Schools

    Sheila has more than 50 years of experience in education, having been a primary and middle school teacher. She was a college faculty member and administrator for fourteen years before being hired as the Head of School for Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Omaha. Sheila held that position for 20 years, retiring in 2015. Sheila has served and continues to serve on SHCOG. She is a current trustee of Grand Coteau and was part of the committee charged with re-envisioning the Sacred Heart Criteria.

  • Nat Wilburn

    Head of Conference
    Conference of Sacred Heart Education


    Nat Wilburn began his vocation as a Sacred Heart educator in 1994 at Schools of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco, where he served as Dean of the middle school for nine years. He moved to become Principal of Sacred Heart Schools, Sheridan Road in 2004 and was appointed Head of School there in 2009. In his 26th year as a Sacred Heart educator, Nat assumed the role of Head of the Conference of Sacred Heart Education in July of 2021. Nat holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee, a Master of Divinity degree from Catholic University, and a Masters of Instructional Leadership from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition to serving as Trustee of several Network Schools, Nat has served on the Sacred Heart Commission on Goals (SHCOG), as Chair of the Network Board, and as Chair of the Board for the Independent Schools Association of the Central States. Nat enjoys travel, outdoor activities and continually discovering how the world is "charged with the gradeur of God."

  • Amanda Codina

    Director of Student Program & Special Initiatives 

    Amanda is a graduate of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart ('02) in Miami, FL, where she served as Assistant Dean of the High School for two years after college. She holds an M.A.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Student Development from the University of Miami, and an undergraduate degree in Communications from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. She worked as the Upper School Dean of Students at Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York, NY for six years. In this role, she also serves as the International Exchange Coordinator and the Program Coordinator for the Network Summer service program - 3DNYC: Understanding Differences and Diversity through Dialogue.  Prior to joining the Network Office, she worked with the Conference on student programming and developing justice resources for schools. 
Schools of the Sacred Heart share in the educational mission of the Society of the Sacred Heart as articulated in the Goals and Criteria. The structure supporting Sacred Heart education in Canada and the United States includes the Conference of Sacred Heart Education and the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.  Together they provide services and programs to ensure vitality of mission for the member schools sponsored by the Society of the Sacred Heart.
