We are currently seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing and Communications to join in the vision of our Senior Leadership team.

The Director of Marketing and Communications will manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of communications that reflect the mission of Sacred Heart Greenwich. This position will report to the Head of School and be responsible for school-wide publications, public and media relations, assist with crisis and covid communication plans, advancement support, admission and enrollment communications, and the overall strategic direction for internal and external school communications.

Essential Functions
  • Working closely with the Head of School and other members of the leadership team to develop and implement internal and external communications strategies that supports the School’s mission and institutional priorities.
  • Partnering with departments across the School to identify communication opportunities that will inform and build positive and productive relationships with key audiences, including students, parents, faculty, staff, prospective families, alumni, and the broader community.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to help manage and deliver the School’s Living Our Mission initiatives, encompassing committees working on educating to the mission, diversity equity and inclusion work, and wellness and leadership initiatives.
  • Leading the creative process around content creation and production from concept to completion.
  • Managing on-campus staff and coordinating outside vendors and contractors.
  • Working closely with the Director of Admission and the Director of Advancement, as appropriate, to develop and execute efforts that attract prospective families, engage current families and alumnae, and increase the School’s visibility--locally and nationally.
  • Working closely with members of the Advancement Office to oversee the development and implementation of communications for fundraising efforts and upcoming campaigns.
  • Working closely with members of the Admission Office to oversee the development and implementation of communications for retention and recruitment.
  • Building and fostering relationships with media outlets and managing public relations and media responses.
  • Partnering with senior administrators on crisis and emergency communications to ensure proper messaging is delivered across all platforms.
  • Coordinating publications and community-wide correspondence, including collaborating with the Head of School’s office and each divisional office on executive communications. 
  • Capitalizing on the best uses of the website, digital technology, and social media.
  • Leading brand management across divisions, departments, and constituents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, or a related field. Minimum 8-10 years marketing, communications, or public relations experience, preferably with some experience in independent schools or higher education. Superior oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate widely with various constituencies throughout the community. A demonstrated ability to use current media/technology to communicate and market the school’s brand and mission.
