Job Title: Lower Middle School Instructional Coach

Full or Part Time: Full Time

Essential Functions:

Builds relationships with teachers and uses data to identify professional growth needs, provide individual support, and sustained professional development
Partners with teachers to set expectations and provide mentoring support
Collaborates with P-8 administrators to improve and implement professional growth process
Supports instructional on-boarding for new faculty and staff
Participates in professional instructional coaching organizations
Reviews school handbooks and policies to ensure mission alignment and contribute to building a community of professional growth
Gathers, interprets, and communicates data/findings to evaluate programs related to faculty professional development
Stays abreast of current research and trends in education and related fields
Coordinates with Director of Curriculum to assure fidelity of instructional program and maintenance of K-5 scope and sequence
Seeks out opportunities (e.g., workshops, conferences, etc.), educational materials, and other resources for individual teachers with specific professional growth needs
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

BA degree, ideally in field of education
Experience and demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching
Demonstrated skills in instructional coaching, adult learning, and/or management of teams
Facility with curricular programs including Reading and Writing Workshop, Singapore Math, Responsive Classroom
Strong knowledge base of and commitment to best practices in equitable teaching and learning
Deep understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and context associated with Sacred Heart Athertons mission and educational philosophy as evidenced in Sacred Heart Schools Goals & Criteria, and its identity as an independent, Catholic school
Eagerness to engage actively with teachers and administrators
Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English supporting excellent interpersonal communication
Demonstrated ability to give and receive feedback
Preferred Qualities & Qualifications

MA degree in education
Skilled in Google suite, Blackbaud, Paycom
Collaborative, consensus-building leadership style with an approachable, relational, and responsive way of working with all constituencies
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Works in a fast moving and dynamic environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
Must comply with all state vaccination requirements and show proof of vaccination including but not limited to COVID-19 or proof of eligibility for exemption.
May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
Be able to occasionally and safely lift up to 30 lbs. and regularly lift up to 10 lbs.
Work primarily in a traditional climate controlled classroom environment.
Must be able to regularly travel safely and comfortably across the 64 acre campus.
