Iron Plaid earns Imagery Award at FIRST Robotics event.

Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart - Houston, TX
Duchesne's robotics team, Iron Plaid, competed at the district event held at San Jacinto College March 28-29. The team advanced to the semi-final round of the competition and required a tie-breaker.
 Iron Plaid won the Imagery Award, which recognizes outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance. Additionally, Sofia Varner ’20 was named as a Dean's List finalist, a recognition that honors students who demonstrate outstanding leadership on their team and achieve personal technical accomplishments. Sofia will now compete for Dean's List at the World Championship event held at the George R. Brown Convention Center April 17-20. The rest of the team will attend the event as volunteers to support Sofia. 
Schools of the Sacred Heart share in the educational mission of the Society of the Sacred Heart as articulated in the Goals and Criteria. The structure supporting Sacred Heart education in Canada and the United States includes the Conference of Sacred Heart Education and the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.  Together they provide services and programs to ensure vitality of mission for the member schools sponsored by the Society of the Sacred Heart.
