On Sophie Day this week, the middle school students participated in a virtual assembly to honor and learn about SHA alumnae who are serving or have served in the military.  It was wonderful to meet Madison Schneider (2016), Kate Leardi Henslee (2008) and Dale Mitchell Hobbs (1995) and learn about their journey from Sacred Heart Academy to their service in the military.  The girls were surprised to hear that our alumnae compare their military experience as similar to our SHA family community.  We thank our SHA veterans for their service as they continue to share the Sacred Heart Goals in their lives.  The girls concluded the Veterans Day activity by writing notes of congratulations to Mr. Richard Buenzle, father of Emily Buenzle (2009), who was awarded the Bronze Star for his service during the Vietnam War.
